The Refuge is a Christian community and mission center hubbed in Broomfield Colorado since 2006. Founded in 2006, The Refuge community was mobile for our first several years, meeting in various locations in Arvada and Westminster. In 2008 we utilized an old grange hall for our gatherings but knew we needed a more anchored space in the community where we could be a more tangible presence and refuge in the community.
We landed in our current home in Broomfield in 2013 and love the flexibility that it offers. With a cafe area, living room, library, space for smaller meetings, contemplative space, worship space, art room, kids space, prayer chapel, and a kitchen area, it is perfect for our flexible needs.
We are also grateful to partner with other faith communities, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies in the area on behalf of community needs.
We are a diverse community across the Denver area, yet we center our life together around our shared values of Presence, Engagement, Transformation, Welcome, Creativity and Celebration.
