Performance Display and Millwork is a designer and supplier of quality retail displays and architectural millwork with a rich history of taking care of our employees.
The story begins in 1994 when Pam and Bob Larson started Performance Display, Inc. The company had a strong reputation for quality service in the retail industry. Meanwhile, Ron Huston founded Huston Manufacturing Company in 1995, to build display fixtures, point-of-purchase displays, and components.
Performance Display was the first purchase by current owners Melissa and Dave Lewis in July, 2002. Wanting to expand their target market, the Lewis’s then purchased Huston Manufacturing in June, 2006. Their goal was to create a company that made the world a better place, with the motto:“To positively change the business world – one display at a time.”
In 2008, the Lewis’s built a brand new facility in Grimes, Iowa to house the expanding businesses. In the new building, the feeling of family and caring for one another remained, despite the increased size of the company.
Significant changes in the display and panel processing industries in mid-2009 led to the change to Huston Millwork:a new focus on architectural millwork was launched and more skilled craftsmen joined the family.
For years, the two sister companies worked side by side to one objective:to provide exceptional quality and service at a fair price.
At the end of 2014, Performance Display and Huston Millwork merged into one company:Performance Display and Millwork.
