Beit Tikkun House of Healing and Repair is a Messianic, Torah observant congregation located in Hazelwood, MO. Under the leadership of Nassi Julian Jackson, our mission is to educate people on the Hebraic roots of the Bible. Our Goal
Our goal is to educate four people groups on the Hebraic Roots of the Bible. These groups are the unsaved, those in other belief systems, Christians/returning Israelites and Jews from the house of Judah; whether secular or religious. Hosea 4:6 reads, "My people perish for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children." Our focus is to provide sound teachings that will bring His people to the knowledge and understanding of His word so that His people will love Him and keep His commandments. Our motto is simply, "Love the people and teach the truth". We DO NOT uphold Christian bashing in any form. If there is a doctrine or belief that we believe is in error or that we don't agree with, we address the doctrine and NOT the people of the doctrine because none of us has it all right. We also DO NOT support teachings that produce strife, evil divisions and works of the flesh. These include, but are not limited to:
1. teachings on sacred names that promote the belief that a person is not saved unless they were saved under a certain name or use a certain pronunciation of Yahweh's name,
2. teachings that promote replacement theology by means of race, skin color or other beliefs that originated outside the scriptures and
3. teachings that promote elitism and self righteousness rather than unity.
We must remember that we are all learning and make up different parts of the body of Mashiach. As such, our goal is to build unity and love throughout His body.
Our Beliefs
We believe that Yahweh is sovereign. We believe that Yeshua is the only begotten Son of Yahweh as well as the Mashiach (Messiah) spoken of in the Tanakh (Original Testament) and confirmed in the Brit Chadasha (Renewed Testament).
We believe that Yeshua, in accordance with the Tanakh, first appeared as the Mashiach Ben Yosef; fulfilling the role of the suffering servant. We are awaiting His return as the Mashiach Ben David, or the Conquering King, who will reunite the 12 tribes of Israel from the two houses of Judah(Judah and Benjamin) and Yosef/Ephraim/Israel(the remaining 10 tribes who are dispersed throughout all the nations of the world). He will rebuild and reestablish the Temple in Eretz Israel and will fulfill all of the prophecies of the Bible in regards to Him as the King from Breisheit(Genesis) to Hitgalut(Revelations).
As the Messiah Ben Yosef, we believe Yeshua was not born of an earthly husband but by the will of Avinu Shabashamayim(our Heavenly Father) and by the power of the Ruach Hakodesh( Holy Spirit). Just as the first man Adam was born, so the last man Adam, Yeshua, was born.
We believe, per the scriptures found in the Tanakh and Brit Chadasha, that Yeshua was born of a virgin birth, lived as a Yehudi(Jew); keeping the Torah(Laws) of Moshe(Moses). We believe that Yeshua redeemed us by the shedding of his blood on a tree(cross) and took our curse for the transgression of Torah passed down to all from Adam and Chavah (Eve).
We believe that Yeshua gave his own life on the cross, per His own words in scripture. Matthew 27:50 says, "And when Yeshua had cried out again in a loud voice, He gave up his spirit." Therefore, we believe that no one, Jew or Gentile, took His life. The anti-Semitism born from the misconception that the Jews killed Him is of Hasatan, the lawless one. We believe that, after three days and three nights, Yeshua resurrected and now sits at the right hand of the Father in Heaven as the Kohen Gadol(High Priest); interceding on our behalf, ministering in the heavenly temple and is soon to return as Mashiach Ben David.
We believe that Yeshua's statement in Matthew 5 about fulfilling the Law does not mean that he did away with the Torah of Moses but rather He came to fill it up with meaning and interpret it correctly. We also believe that He lived keeping all the Laws of Moshe that He could(for example, he would not have been able to keep the laws of a woman on her menstrual cycle because he was not a woman) perfectly to show us that it could be done. We also believe that he came to repair breaches in the Torah born of rabbinical interpretation or what was called the Oral Law and Works of the Law, also addressed in Matthew 5 and elsewhere in scripture. We believe that Yahweh's Torah given to Moses at Mt Sinai is the standard by which all men will be judged and is perfect as well as sure according to scripture.
We believe that Salvation has and will always be by faith in Yeshua/Yahweh. Per the scriptures, we believe that if a person repents of his sins, confesses with his mouth and believes in his heart that Yeshua came, died for his/her sins and resurrected and accepts Yeshua as their L-rd and Savior he/she will be saved(future tense, notice in Acts 15:31 it says will be saved and not are saved). We have salvation now, but not yet and so rather than saying we are saved, as is traditionally taught, we believe we are being saved every day of our lives with the fullness of this being either at death or Yeshua's return. This is not a onetime confession and belief but rather a lifetime of confession and belief. We believe that the belief part of this process requires a lifestyle change of what the Bible calls sanctification. We believe that sanctification is a two part process that starts with accepting Yeshua's work on the cross as described above. We believe that this is the point at which we receive His sanctification. We believe that because we have been bought with a price Yahweh/Yeshua instructs us to begin to learn about his Torah or Laws and to keep them; this being the second portion of the sanctification process. Thus, a true believer receives a double portion of sanctification. We DO NOT believe that keeping the Torah saves us; but rather sanctifies us and teaches us what True Love is both to Yahweh and to our fellow man.
We believe, per the scriptures, that keeping Torah was never contingent upon doing it perfectly. Yahweh has always had an allotment for repentance even in the original testament. We believe that, per the scriptures, sin is transgression of the Torah. We believe that keeping the Torah is also based upon love and that if someone is trying to keep it without love they are, in fact, in violation of the Torah. We believe that keeping the Torah brings blessing from Yahweh as we are emulating him and his characteristics in learning of and keeping the commandments. We believe that all 613 commandments of the Torah either teach us how to love Yahweh with all our heart, soul and mind or they teach us how to love our neighbor as Yeshua has loved us.
We believe one must be baptized in the Mikveh of Yeshua(baptism of Yeshua) by water and that one must also be baptized in the Ruach Ha Kodesh(Baptism of the Holy Spirit) by fire to receive both the fullness in understanding the scriptures and the fullness of a relationship with Yahweh. We believe that, per the scriptures, the Ruach Ha Kodesh(Holy Spirit) was given for sanctification by leading and guiding us in all truth. According to Psalms 119:142, the truth is defined as the Torah(law). Thus, it is Yahweh's oral law that leads and guides us in how to keep his written Torah while we are dispersed. This is so that the issue of the corruption of the written Torah through the oral laws of the Pharisees and Scribes in Yeshua's day could never happen again to a true believer. We believe that the primary evidence of the Baptism of the Spirit is the Fruit of the Spirit found in Galatians 5:22-23. We also believe that the Baptism of the Spirit will manifest the gifts of the spirit in a believers life as stated in scriptures such as 1 Corinthians 12.
We believe that these gifts are given by the Ruach HaKodesh as He sees fit and are used for the edification and the building up of the body of Mashiach. We, however, look primarily at the Fruit of the Spirit produced in a believers life versus the traditional view of looking at the gifts as a measurement of whether a believer is spirit filled or not. In other words, gifts can be faked, especially speaking in tongues, but fruit cannot be faked and Messiah Yeshua said that we would know them by their fruit. We believe that the most common gift manifested by the Baptism of the Holy spirit is speaking in tongues and so we do support the belief of the Baptism of the Holy spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues but we do not want to limit the Spirit because the scriptures say he gives the gifts as he sees fit.
We also believe that true love and faith require action. In 1Corinthians 13 and James 2:14-26, love is described as an action. We believe the father is calling us to an immense work to do our part in the reunification of the stick of Joseph/ Ephraim(and all Israelites with him) and the stick of Judah(and all the Israelites with him). This includes the natural and wild olive branches, the native born and adopted sons, the foreigner and stranger living amongst us as well as anyone who has a heart to serve Yahweh and obey His commandments through love, faith and obedience to His word.
