RULES OF THE FUNDRAISER
YOU MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE TO PURCHASE TICKETS. IF A NAME IS DRAWN AND THE PERSON’S NAME ON THE TICKET IS NOT ABLE TO PROVIDE I.D. PROVING THEY ARE 21 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER, THE POT REVERTS BACK TO KINGPIN LANES.
1. A game board containing 54 cards will be displayed at Kingpin Lanes, with the “QUEEN OF HEARTS” as the JACKPOT CARD.
2. Everyone eligible to play can purchase tickets during normal business hours at Kingpin Lanes $1.00 per ticket with no limit on the amount of tickets that can be purchased. If the pot exceeds $25,000 tickets will increase to $2.00 or 6 for $10.00. NO GROUP TICKETS, ONE NAME, ONE NUMBER PER TICKET. TICKETS MUST NOT LEAVE THE PREMISES OF KINGPIN LANES, NO EXCEPTIONS. Envelopes containing cards will be displayed in a locked case.
3. Choose an envelope number, write a number on the ticket & print your legal name (FIRST/LAST) on the ticket, separate tickets and drop in designated container at Kingpin Lanes. DO NOT PRINT NICKNAMES, ABBREVIATIONS, STICK ON LABELS OR ALTER TICKET IN ANY MANNER. ONCE A TICKET IS DROPPED IT CANNOT BE RETRIEVED. MAKE SURE THEY ARE FILLED OUT CORRECTLY, NO EXCEPTIONS. All tickets must be in drum 15 minutes prior to drawing.
4. Jan 1st to Aug 15th ticket will be drawn at 8:00pm on Wednesday so ticket sales will end at 7:30pm. August 16th to December 31st ticket will be drawn at 7:30pm on Sunday so ticket sales will end at 7:00pm. Apple I-Phone is the official clock.
5. Every Wednesday or Sunday a ticket will be drawn from the tickets purchased that week. The drawn ticket must be validated by Kingpin Lanes. Participant with the drawn ticket must be on the premises at time of the drawing and present themselves for validation within 10 minutes of drawing or you will be considered not present. Apple I-Phone is the official clock.
6. One ticket will be drawn weekly, if it is declared an invalid ticket the envelope will be opened and if it contains the “QUEEN OF HEARTS” that game ends and a new game will start with 80% of the jackpot (minus expenses) rolling over. 20% will go to the designated charity. If not the “QUEEN OF HEARTS” THE JACKPOT ROLLS OVER TO NEXT DRAWING.
7. Any envelope containing a Queen other than the “QUEEN OF HEARTS” will receive 5% of the pot.
8. Participant with the drawn validated ticket that fails to produce the “QUEEN OF HEARTS” will be awarded $100.00. If the envelope contains one of the two Jokers they will receive an additional $100.00.
9. All winning tickets must be validated and claimed within 30 days of the drawing. If not claimed within 30 days the winnings will be considered a donation to the designated charity.
10. Once a card is selected, that card will be removed from play.
11. Each week after the drawing, all tickets will be destroyed.
12. All players winning $1199.00 or more will be issued a W2-G. NO prize over $1199.00 will be paid until the W2-G information is completely filled out. If all information is provided per IRS Rules, 25% Federal tax will be deducted from winnings. If a player is unwilling to provide the proper information to properly fill out the W2-G, then the prize will revert back to Kingpin Lanes.
13. Serial numbers of all tickets will be recorded and verified.
14. In the event of inclement weather or the night of the event falls on a holiday, the drawing will be delayed until the following week. Kingpin Lanes reserves the right to adjust the drawing schedule as it deems necessary.
