Printmaking Education and Research Studio The Printmaking Education and Research Studio (PEARS) program promotes printmaking production, education and innovation in the Midwest. The studio, sponsored by NDSU Division of Fine Arts and Department of Visual Arts, emphasizes new work, ideas and methods, and facilitates interaction among a diverse audience; the studio strives to be an advocate for understanding the past and shaping the future of creative printmaking.

Studio Facilities
The studio is housed at NDSU Visual Arts Department, Renaissance Hall 314/322 in downtown Fargo, ND. The studio's 3700 square feet is properly ventilated and includes a large pressroom/workspace, screen-print studio, aquatint and etching areas, and exposure room where one can print using traditional and non-toxic intaglio, lithography, screen-print and relief printing methods. Digital capabilities include access to Mac or PC computers, scanners, laser printers and large format inkjet printers.

Letterpress:Vandercook #3 14x20" Letterpress with various type

Screen printing units:AWT 44x64" one-man squeegee printer and 8 hinge clamp stations
Lithographic stones up to 32x40", hydraulic lift-truck, and 38x60" graining sink
