Maret Liana Propes, owner and principal instructor of PilatesFirst, received her Pilates Method Teaching Certification through the Pilates Studio of the Midwest under the tutorage of Master Teacher Romana Kryzanowfka, a student of Joseph Pilates himself. Maret’s certification consisted of a rigorous year-long program that combined seminar training and six hundred hours of apprenticeship experience. Prior to pursuing her Pilates certification, Maret earned a BFA from Ohio University where she studied Dance and Kinesology. She has taught at several studios in Chicago including the Pilates Training Center and The Pilates Studio of the Midwest in Evanston. Most recently, Maret recieved another certification through power pilates.
