Organic Sustainable Farming
We are located in Salem, SC, in the foothills of the beautiful Great Smokey Mountains. We operate on forth generation family farmland and strive to be stewards of the land that God so graciously blessed us with. We will not be offering CSA Farm Shares for 2015, due to a life altering physical injury.
Keaton Farms CSA 2013
We practice organic farm methods using USDA NOP / OMRI standards. Absolutely no GMOs.
Starting date will be June 10, 2013 and run through September 23, 2013. We plan to offer two shares of eight week periods for $200 per eight week share. Members may sign up for one or both of the shares.
The first share period will be June 10th - July 29th. The second share period will be August 5th- September 23rd.
Eggs will also be available for $3/doz. ($24 for a 8 week share). The eggs will be a variety of sizes (M, L, XL, J) and colors (white, peach, tan, brown). Every effort will be made to insure each dozen weighs at least the equivalent of a large dozen of eggs (24 oz).
For those of you that opted not to purchase bulk beef, we are pleased to be able to offer a meat share this year! This will be from lean dairy cows raised on our farm. Our cows are loved on, spoiled rotten, roam free on 20 acres of pasture land, 10 acres of woodland with creek access, and no added steroids, hormones, or antibiotics. This will be ground beef and frozen in 1 lb packages. The cost will be $5 per lb ($40 for a 8 week share).
